update 2/23

Ok, new version of the x86 Windows client is now available... still very beta, but has been stable so far.  There are still features that i need to finish working on, but this is much more full-function than the previous version.

Windows x86 Client

  • Status windows to indicate import/export processing.
  • Interface tweaks to make more obvious when new Comics are added to the application.
  • The basic reader has been implemented and is available now to allow you to read your comics on the larger screen of your PC

Now for the 64bit version... i'm still working hard to get a Bonjour for windows solution to work, but it is not there yet.  As soon as its available I will get it to you all.

::EDIT::

I've also decided to make the original Windows transfer utility available again for those of you having problems with the new Windows Pull Lists Library app. You can find the original Pull Lists Utility here

Any time frame on the Tiger fix? I just downloaded the app for $2.99 tonight only to find out it doesn't work. I have a ton of .cbr files and would love to have this portability with my iPhone. Please hurry!

It will be available very soon, there is one outstanding issue that i'm trying to fix. As soon as that is done ill have it available.

I gave up on this app. It doesn't work. Neither the old export app or the new 2/23 update works for XP or Vista. However I found a better solution but a bit involved. For anyone interested who knows a bit about Ruby and can setup your own web server. Check out an app call Kapow (search for "Kapow iPhone Comics" on google). You can setup a web server using Ruby to automatically extract and display your .cbr/.cbz files on the fly without having to load it to the phone. So as long as you have net access to your server it would work. There are a few bugs in the tool but if you know Ruby you can figure it out pretty quickly.

@ the developer of PullLists!

Where can i report bugs or request features for the iphone app?

I really like PullLists and use it a lot but it can be better. Are you gonne update is sometimes?

you can report bugs and request features here, or drop an email to actionsreaction@gmail.com.

Yes I am still actively in working on these apps, although development over the last couple weeks has been halted due to personal reasons. I will resume work very soon and you can expect frequent updates in the near future.

Hello,
I also bought this application today and it doesn't work. I have Windows XP and installed all the other programs I was asked to (Bonjour, framenet etc.). I only can import .cbz firles, but no .zip or .rar files. If I can't, then the application is useless for me.
I'm not sure if that's a bug or if I'm doing something wrong?!

Well.. You could change your zip files extension to .cbz to make it work.
Extract the rars and zip em then rename to .cbz.
It's a workaround but it works.

Finally started using PullLists and it has a lot of potential as the only end-to-end desktop and iPhone solution out there. The interface on both the desktop and iPhone app could do with some refinement, however, eg. the Multi-Touch doesn't behave quite as expected - a page will stop scrolling as soon as you life your finger, instead of having "impetus". And sometimes the Multi-Touch will be non-responsive. It also needs more "resistance" between pages to make flipping the page a more definite action.

As for PullLists Library, it could be a little more iTunes-like, with adjustable panes and better font size and weight in the source pane. A black background in thumbnail view would nice, as would a tighter grid view. But these are all superficial complaints.

All in all, it's shaping up well. Looking forward to the next update!

Hey your macintosh app is great, sometimes I'm getting a bug where a previously rendered page will show up black. Is there an official place to post bugs to? Also, it would be great if we could save publishing date for each entry in the library as well. Keep the good work.

for now reporting bugs in the current thread or emailing me at actionsreaction@gmail.com is the best way to do so. I will very shortly have time to address many of the issues you all have submitted. I apologize for my delay in responses and will work hard to get any and all issues resolved.

I've been trying all the clients I can install on my Windows Vista 64 bit OS, but non of them is working... I've paid for this and I would really like to have ti working... guys, can you help me or give me back my money?

Many thanks,

Omar

@0m4r
Unfortunately I cannot currently support Vista 64,... when i find a solution that will allow me to support Vista64 I'll have that for you asap.

Short note, I'm working on an FTP solution for getting your comics into this app. This should allow those of you running tiger & vista to finally be able to use this app properly. Thank you for your patience in this, I truely hope to provide a pleasant reading experience for you all.
