Upload your comics via FTP
Thursday, May 28, 2009 at 7:12AM Ok, I've finally found the time to get together an alternative method for getting your comics into PullLists on your iPhone or iPod Touch. I have now added the capability to upload via FTP. This should be a solution to the windows users who couldnt get the Bonjour-based solution to work.
I've just finished testing this using the FileZilla ftp client. I plan on continuing testing with different FTP clients, but plan on pushing this out to the app store as soon as I can. If you have a preferred FTP client please let me know here and I'll test it w/PullLists.
Currently the FTP method will only work for .cbz(or .zip) files, but I'll also have a simple utility available for converting .cbr(or .rar) files to .cbz's.
Using this FTP method, all unarchiving and image resizing happens on the phone itself. After the upload completes, .cbz's are unarchived and the comic is added to your readable comics in the app. When displaying each page, the app checks the image size and resizes to the maximum supported size if neccessary.

Would it be possible to add leading 0s in the issue number so that things sort correctly. As it is, if I add issues 1, 2 and 10, they sort as 1, 10 THEN 2.
I just paid 2.99 for your ipod touch application and it does not work. It crashes when I attempt to import files. I am running leopard 10.5.7 and an ipod OS 3.0. Either respond via email in regards to a fix or please refund me my money and take the app off the store.

Yeah unfortunately with the 3.0 software, there is an issue with the bonjour transfers... this is not an issue w/the update that should be available soon.
Any idea when the update will be ready? It's a great app and I'm missing it so much right now
Please fix this as soon as possible! I LOVE this app... but now it crashes on import everytime on my phone since I upgraded to 3.0.
Can you at least let us know when an update will be available?
i've submitted the update to the iTunes group, just awaiting approval. I've had good luck in the past with fast review times (~1week). But unfortunately there is no way of telling just how long it will take. I'll have an update here when it is available.

I paid for this app please fix the library so I can use it.
I hve vista and it closes when I add a comic.
I tried many comics and changed the compatability mode also.
The library app is buggy and the FTP option does not work.
is there anyway to get the comics on the iphone using mobleme?
I am running windows 7 and I bought this app because I read that the bugs had been fixed and it now worked properly. I downloaded all the different programs offered and every option freezes and stops working. I can't get the .cbr to cbz program to run at all and as a last resort I tried to use the Filezilla after zipping the files myself. The screen on my ipod that says tap to process this upload never goes away. Are there any fixes for these problems or did I waste my money? If you can't deliver what I paid for or offer me a refund then there has to be some solution so that people in the appstore are warned before they purchase your product
